Do you have a Cape Town branch?
Battery Experts does not have a branch in Cape Town.
Does Battery Experts manufacture battaries?
Battery Experts does not manufacture cells or batteries. We import cells and assemble custom battery packs as per our customer’s requirement. We also repack existing batteries in order to save on the cost of buying a new battery.
Where are orders shipped from?
All the stock for our online store is held in our main warehouse in Durban, South Africa. Should an item reflect as “in stock”, this means that it is in stock in our Durban Warehouse.
What does it mean if its on backorder?
Backorder items are brought in specifically to fulfil your order. We do our best to give accurate timelines on our site but there are outside variables that could affect this, such as the supplier being out of stock. Should the lead time be any different to what is reflected on the site, you will be notified by someone from our team. If you need the item urgently, please contact us first so that we do not disappoint you.
What is Battery Experts warranty?
Battery Experts warrant all products to be free of defects at the time of shipping. All products are then subject to the manufacturer’s terms and warranties.
Different items carry different warranties, and these should be indicated on the description or the specific items. If you are unsure, please feel free to contact us with your query.
The manufacturer or its official distributing agent will at their sole discretion determine if the repair or replacement can be honoured in terms of the warranty. Their decision is final and not correspondence will be entered into.
What happens if I order the incorrect battery?
If you order something that turns out to be the incorrect item, you may return the product for credit within 7 days of having received the order.
The goods are to be returned in their original packaging with all the original contents. These goods will be subject to courier charges and a 10% handling fee. Should you be unsure of what to order, please contact one of our sales assistants and they will gladly help you.
This applies to general stock items only and not to goods ordered to your specification from overseas suppliers.
How long does it take to ship my order?
What delivery method to you offer?
On our store, we have 2 options namely, courier delivery and collection from our DURBAN BRANCH. Collection is at no charge.
Courier delivery is a door-to-door service
Can my order be collected at the Edenvalle Branch?
Although this is not the norm, this can be arranged. We send stock up to our branch weekly. Your parcel can be sent to them with this consignment, and you can collect from their store. One of the team will notify you when it is there for collection.
What do you charge for delivery?
Delivery charges start at R110.00 incl depending on where you are situated and the weight and dimensions of your parcel.
Laptop batteries attract no delivery charges and are delivered free of charge.
Delivery charges are calculated on checkout.
Do you deliver outside of South Africa?
We do not deliver outside of the country via our website but, if you contact us directly on either sales@www.batteryexpert.co.za (Durban branch) or jhbsales@www.batteryexpert.co.za
(Johannesburg branch) we will be able to quote you on delivery to neighbouring countries.
