Battery Experts – Terms and Conditions
1. About Us
This website is operated by Battery Experts South Africa. By using our website and placing an order, you agree to our terms. Please read them carefully.
2. Using Our Website
By using our site, you confirm that:
– You’re at least 18 years old or have permission from a guardian.
– You will use our website and products for legal purposes only.
3. Orders and Payments
All orders are subject to availability.
– We do not carry stock of all items – some may be ordered from suppliers, which could lead to delays. As far as possible, this is noted on the items concerned.
– Payment must clear in full before we process or dispatch your order.
– If stock is unavailable, we’ll contact you to arrange a refund, backorder, or credit.
4. Pricing and Delivery
Product prices exclude delivery fees unless otherwise stated.
– Delivery costs are calculated at checkout. For remote areas, extra charges may apply. We will contact you if this is the case.
– If your order qualifies for free shipping, we may use services like PostNet or Pargo to deliver to a nearby pickup point.
– Please provide a valid physical address. We do not deliver to P.O. Boxes.
5. Backorders and Stock Delays
If an item is out of stock, delivery may take up to 6 weeks.
– If we can’t supply a product, we’ll offer you a choice of a refund, store credit, or backorder (subject to possible price changes due to exchange rate fluctuations).
6. Cancellations and Refunds
If we cancel your order due to stock issues, you’ll receive a full refund or credit.
– Refunds by EFT can take 1–2 days to reflect. Card refunds may take up to 10 days.
– Orders can only be processed once full payment is received.
7. Warranty and Returns
All products are covered by manufacturer warranties, effective from the purchase date.
– If your product is faulty within the warranty period, please contact us before returning it.
– Warranty decisions are made by the manufacturer or their agents, and are final.
– Unwanted products can be returned within 7 days of delivery (at your cost), in original packaging and unused. A 15% restocking fee applies.
– Products incorrectly ordered but correctly supplied will be subject to a 15% handling fee and transport charges will be for the customer’s account
– Delivery charges are non-refundable.
8. Accuracy and Product Info
We do our best to provide accurate product descriptions and pricing. However:
– Prices and availability may change without notice.
– Errors or omissions may occur, and we reserve the right to correct them or cancel orders.
9. Use of Content
You may not copy or use any part of our website content (including images and text) without written permission.
10. Personal Information
Your information is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
11. Third-Party Services
Our site may include links to third-party websites. We’re not responsible for their content, policies, or services.
12. Limitation of Liability
We’re not liable for any loss, damage, or delays caused by factors beyond our control, including supplier stock shortages or courier delays.
